His vision brought Amavita into being in 2009. After three decades as a surgical oncologist and head of surgery at QSUT "Nënë Tereza", and following specialist training at the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, he built a hospital in Albania where every patient would meet the best European standard.
Today the team continues the mission he began - specialised care, international standards and humanity above all else. The hospital is now led by his son, Elvis Karaj, as CEO.
