- - Hysterectomy - removal of the uterus for conditions such as fibroids, bleeding or other pathologies
- - Ovarian cyst removal - surgical removal of cysts in the ovary, preserving as much normal tissue as possible
- - Oophorectomy - removal of one or both ovaries in certain pathological cases
- - Salpingectomy - removal of one or both fallopian tubes for infection or ectopic pregnancy
- - Operative hysteroscopy - intervention inside the uterus to remove polyps and septa, or to treat intrauterine problems
- - Cervical cerclage - placement of a stitch in the cervix to prevent premature birth
- - Cervical conisation - removal of part of the cervix to diagnose and treat pre-cancerous lesions (CIN)
- - Reconstructive gynaecological surgery - reconstruction and correction of intimate structures for function and/or aesthetics

Are these procedures painful?
No. The procedures are carried out under anaesthesia, so the patient feels no pain during the procedure itself. There may be mild discomfort afterwards, which is managed with medication.
How long does recovery take after gynaecological surgery?
It depends on the type of procedure. Minimally invasive procedures have a faster recovery, while open surgery requires more rest and medical follow-up.
