Body contouring with modern precision.
Removal of stubborn fat using VASER, laser or tumescent techniques. Liposuction is not "weight loss" - it is the contouring of specific areas that do not respond to diet and exercise.
What is liposuction?
Liposuction is the surgical suction of resistant fat from areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and chin. Modern techniques:
- ●Classic tumescent - uses an anaesthetic fluid to reduce bleeding
- ●VASER (ultrasonic) - ultrasound that emulsifies the fat before suction; less blood, less swelling
- ●Laser-assisted (LipoLite) - a laser that breaks down fat and also tightens the skin
- ●Power-assisted (PAL) - mechanical vibration for smoother suction
The removed fat can be re-injected into other areas (lipofilling - BBL to the buttocks, breasts).
The steps of the procedure.
Marking the areas
The surgeon marks the areas directly on the skin with a pen while you stand. Symmetry and volume are assessed.
Anaesthesia
Tumescent plus sedation for small areas, general anaesthesia for larger or multi-area procedures.
The procedure
4-5mm incisions; a cannula is placed under the skin; the fat is suctioned with precision. Duration: 1-4 hours depending on the areas.
Post-operative care
A compression garment is fitted immediately and worn for 4-6 weeks. Some fluid drainage is normal for 24-48 hours.
Technical information.
Recovery timeline.
Rest (usually 2-5 days). Compression garment worn 24/7. Moderate pain, swelling and bruising are normal. You can walk and do very light activities.
The compression garment continues. Swelling reduces. Return to sedentary work. No sport.
The compression garment is worn until the end of this period (only during the day towards the end). Light activity allowed. The shape starts to show.
Full activity. The shape is clear, but the last swelling is still fading.
3-6 months (depending on the area and the volume removed).
