What is mammoplasty (augmentation)?
Breast augmentation increases breast size through:
- ●Silicone implants - the most common option. EU-certified brands: Motiva (lifetime warranty), Mentor (Johnson & Johnson), Allergan (Natrelle)
- ●Lipofilling (your own fat) - augmentation using fat removed from other areas (abdomen, thighs). A more natural result, but limited in volume.
The incision site is chosen from 3 options: inframammary (below the breast), periareolar (around the nipple), trans-axillary (armpit). The implant placement: subglandular (above the muscle) or submuscular (below the muscle - more natural, more recommended).

Full anaesthesia
The procedure uses general anaesthesia, administered by an Amavita anaesthetist. Full monitoring throughout the procedure.
Placing the implant
The chosen incision, creation of the pocket, placement of the implant, checking of position and symmetry. Duration: 1.5-2 hours.
Post-operative care
A compression garment is fitted immediately. A 1-night stay in the clinic for monitoring. Moderate, manageable pain.

Complete rest. Moderate, manageable pain. Compression garment worn 24/7. No raising arms above the shoulders.
Pain decreases. Return to sedentary work. Compression garment still worn 24/7. No lifting weights over 2 kg.
Light activity allowed. Compression garment worn during the day only. You may start lower-body exercise (not arms).
Avoid intense physical activity until the end of this period; then a gradual return to full activity (including sport).
The final shape settles in 3-6 months. Implant warranty depends on the brand (Motiva: lifetime).
